I've seen plenty of pages when searching for good anime and, unfortunately, most of them tend to put Naruto and other popular crap on top, rather than actual quality anime. I actually find Naruto ok, although I'm not a die hard fan (yeah, I've watched the whole series so far, but I find a high % of episodes utterly crap, particularly the amount of fillers in Naruto Shippuden lately. Pity, they came out with a nice plot from the beginning of Shippuden).
Anyway, here, a few anime you may find interesting and perhaps not in the mainstream of teens and preteens more concerned about how "kawaii" a character is rather than any deep meaning.
